Money Diaries is a cultural phenomenon that veers from our traditional recommendations. Though it’s not a design-related or feast-your-eyes-on kind of content, it can most definitely prove to be inspirational.
In short, this very successful series by culture website Refinery29 is documenting real people and how they spend their hard-earned money during a seven-day period, tracing every penny. This series has long reached its cult-like following status, for its candid anonymous sharing of what is still considered such a taboo for many of us - money. This is exactly what makes these financial confessions so inspiring: you can find yourself represented in someone who works in the same industry as yourself or who makes the same salary, but you can also find yourself or learn and be inspired by someone else's approach to earning, spending, or talking about this ever fascinating subject.
Side note: The UK version, linked above, has sadly just announced its cessation, as the local website will shut down, but you can still enjoy the ongoing US version.
